These coalitions steer regional planning efforts, win and preserve affordable housing near transit, foster transit service and investments in ways that connect their communities to opportunities in the region. Regional equity leaders from Oakland, the Twin Cities, and Atlanta guide participants in how to bring together diverse organizations, define priorities and roles, and work in concert to accomplish structural changes in their communities. Vivona, PhD (Philadelphia, PA); Joseph D. Lichtenberg, MD (Bethesda, MD); Salman Akhtar, MD (Ardmore, PA); Reporter: Gabriel Ruiz, MA, LCPC (Chicago, IL) This panel examines the influence of siblings on identity development from multiple theoretical perspectives. The objective of the panel is to expand theoretical and clinical appreciation for the lifelong developmental contributions of siblings. The panelists focus in particular upon the impact of sibling recognition in the construction of identity as well as explore the contributions of “psychoanalytic siblings,” that is, those other patients, seen and unseen, may contribute to the elaboration of transference themes and transference/counter-transference enactments. Finally, the panel focuses on how those without biological siblings may seek sibling equivalents, particularly in the course of treatment. Each panelist contributes a short clinical vignette to illustrate these themes. Audio CDs: 3 | | Audio CD | | $45.00 | | $45.00 | |

And unions have much more freedom to advocate than do non-profits or most public officials. But too often, labor leaders and growth-management practitioners do not know each other well or actively coordinate. This workshop is both "Labor's Self-Interest in Smart Growth" and "Labor Movement 101" with specific examples of smart growth advocacy from three exemplary labor groups and a pro-labor think tank.
