Cupping the Flame of Women's Culture - DVD/Documentary

For over 20 years The Montclair Women's Cultural Arts Club was a premiere showcase for alternative women's culture in the San Francisco Bay Area. At a time when lesbian spaces have been closing world wide, this venue provided a safe haven where community formed around music, politics & culture. That era ended with a final concert in 2015 with Linda Tillery, Holly Near, Melanie DeMoore, Alix Dobkin, Terry Garthwaite, Barbara Higbie, Mary Watkins & The Washington Sisters. This Video explores the importance of creating inclusive space by weaving interviews and archival photos with highlights of that momentous concert. Now this video documentary is available for purchase on DVD.
